He released one album with the group Boyz n Da Hood under Bad Boy records in June 2005. He negotiated deals with both Bad Boy and Def Jam Records. Soon, he was sought after by some of the biggest names in the music business. He built a loyal fan base by passing out his CDs and performing around the city. It was titled вЂThuggin Under the Influence.вЂ™ In 2004 he collaborated with DJ Drama to release his second mixtape, вЂTha Streets Iz Watchin.вЂ™ JeezyвЂ™s natural business acumen came in handy. His prominence has come hard and fast (and not without a fair share of controversy), but in truth, he has been active in the underground since the mid-'90s. He released his first mixtape in 2001 under the name Lil J. Boyz N da Hood hit the Top Five the week it was released, and Young Jeezy - the group's most visible member - wound up releasing Let's Get It: Thug Motivation 101 only a month later. When that plan fell through, Jeezy decided to step in the booth and tell his own life stories.
